Rainy Day

Once upon a rainy day, I was captivated by the gloom, and liberated from impending doom. Because, you see, I live for days of blustery bliss and shadows cast in swirling mist. I had early morning class followed by a full day of work, but I didn't mind because the drizzle lifted my spirits and enchanted my mood. I felt a little bit cozy and a little bit harajuku. The perfect morning.

Denim Squared

Normally I abhor the idea of denim on denim. It brings to mind classic music video disasters of the late 80's, and easy listening softrock. But today...I was feeling reckless and brave and I quite enjoyed my denim suit. Matchy-matchy is a no-no, so instead I went with opposites attract. A light denim vest on top of high-waisted dark-wash. Part banker, part vamp. Topped off with a giant owl and bright lipstick. Genius? Or insanity? Whatever the case, i felt a very taboo, albeit daring, all the livelong day.

The Unexpected

And.....out from the mundane pops....the Unexpected. I've been craving a pair of ankle boots for quite some time now. I have yet to find some that fit my price range and my quirky standards. As I was sitting outside under the stars pondering my disappointment of a day and my lack of posting inspiration, I decided to roll down my retro black steel rimmed rocker boots to see how I liked the ankle boot effect. To my sheer delight, the interior is printed with red roses on a black denim-like background!!! Who knew? I've had these boots for months! The ankle boot cravings of yore have been satiated because now I have something better. Out of boredom comes experimentation and a royal "kiss-off" to the same-old. And all for free!!!! So, if anything, I hope this inspires you to look for inspiration anywhere and everywhere!

Ahhhhh. Fall is here!!!!

While I am excited about the Spring 2010 collections, I would like to revel in the fall season just a little while longer. I want to roll around in it while I can, at the risk of running behind.
